Featuring a style that ranges from intimate acoustic songs to danceable jam tracks to songs that sound best blasting out of a car stereo, Soul do Mato has been playing their uniquely melodic brand of acoustic-driven rock in venues around Miami since 2007. That same year Soul do Mato released its acoustic self-titled debut album and launched their website, souldomato.com. Also known as SdM to their fans, they have not only built a loyal following in the Miami music scene, but also established a large fan base online. In 2008 their song “My Suspicion” was chosen by Youtube’s musical editor to be featured on the popular sites homepage, gaining thousands of new subscribers to the bands online series of music videos. To date their videos have generated over half a million hits. After gaining some attention when one of their online music videos was aired on CBS’s ‘The Early Show’, SdM earned a sponsorship deal from Gibson Guitars. In 2009 the band made its local television debut as the musical act on “The Juice,” a Miami based arts and entertainment show. Having gained both national and local online, over the airwaves, and in print, the band is building on their momentum with the release of their sophomore album “Treehouse” on April 10, 2010.
